I've spent my career translating the complex into the accessible. Whether it's a chemical formula, a patent application, or a generative AI workflow, my mission is the same: clarity.
I am Elizabeth Gearhart, Ph.D. While some know me today as "The AI Lady" or a veteran podcast producer, my journey began in the lab.
The Scientist's Edge: I earned my Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Colorado Boulder under my maiden name, Elizabeth McNamara. That rigorous training at the bench—and later in the corporate halls of Dow Chemical—honed a specific skill: the ability to deconstruct intricate systems and find the most efficient path forward.
From Patents to Podcasts: Transitioning from a scientist to a licensed U.S. Patent Agent, and eventually the Chief Marketing Officer at Gearhart Law, I realized that great ideas fail without great communication. This led me to found Gear Media Studios, where I help professionals turn their expertise into long-term brand visibility through podcasting and strategic marketing.
In the Spotlight & On the Air: Since 2018, I have co-hosted Passage to Profit, a nationally syndicated radio show and podcast on the iHeartMedia network, reaching audiences across 38 stations. In 2026, I expanded this platform by co-hosting the Real AI Use Cases – Business Owners Roundtable, where we move past the AI hype to discuss practical, bottom-line applications.
I am a frequent speaker and educator on podcasting, AI, branding, and marketing strategy, presenting for libraries, business organizations, conferences, and professional associations, including Podfest, CIANJ, and the American Bar Association Intellectual Property Law Section. I am also a contributing author to the American Bar Association–published book Marketing Your Invention, Product, or Journey (Fourth Edition, 2025).
